How long has NLP been around and where does it originate from?
In the 1970;s John Grinder (a Linguist) and Richard Bandler (a Therapist, Mathematician and Computer Expert) studied people who were consistently achieving successful results in their lives. They studied these people who were highly successful and in particular the structure of their skills, beliefs, behaviours and experiences and from these findings they created the highly effective techniques of NLP.
Since the 1970’s the powerful tools of NLP have been successfully applied to the fields of business, sport, therapy, education and personal development. These dynamic techniques are being taught and used world-wide.
What happens during a NLP Coaching Session?
Firstly, I will spend some time finding out about you and about what has brought you to the session and I will take a detailed case history.
I will then go on to explore with you what specifically you would like to work on and what you want to achieve.
We will then gently work through appropriate techniques and processes to help you move away from your issue and towards your desired outcome. As we work together there is opportunity to discuss all relevant points. We will also talk through any action that you will need to take to further your achievement of your desired goals.
Throughout the session your needs are fully taken into account and you will feel validated and respected. You will soon start to realise the immense resources you already have, as you experience greater flexibility and start being the person you want to be and living the life you have only dreamed of up until now.
How many sessions will I need to make the changes I want to make?
It’s up to you. The processes I use are creative and gentle, yet they are effective and can help you bring about the changes you want quickly and with ease. Some people only need a few sessions to get the results that they want, whilst others choose to have more sessions to work on other issues.
I live some distance from you, can you still help me with NLP Coaching?
Yes is the simple answer. Although many clients like to come and meet with me face to face, I am able to coach you using Skype or over the telephone. Skype is a free package to download and if you have a web cam and microphone we will be able to see and hear each other and the calls are completely free skype to skype. I have used this method to coach people who live outside of the UK also.
For some people this medium of having coaching is cost and time effective as you do not have to worry about travelling to a venue. We would still book an hour session as if you were coming to see me and I can email you any CD’s that you would need or handouts of exercises that we would use. This is a slightly cheaper option in terms of fees also. Please ring or email me if you would like to discuss this further.
How have other people found the coaching sessions?
